I Wrote You Read
Modern man is being bombard by the media. Daily, the news impacts us. We do not think, we are not exposed to the truth; we only know what they want us to know. There is no way to run away from it. Modern man is buried beneath the news. A box surrounded by steel and barbed wire is filled with crumpled-up newspapers.

I Wrote, You Read was created in the abandoned former headquarters of the Ettela’at newspaper in central Tehran. The vast interior was covered with newspapers—from the floors and walls to the columns and ceiling—while video, sound, and sculptural elements became part of an immersive environment.
Here, the newspaper is more than a material; it becomes a metaphor for the relentless flow of information, the power of media, and our relationship with it. Surrounded by layers of news and images, the viewer is no longer simply an observer but becomes physically immersed in the work.
The installation explores the relationship between media, the individual, and reality, creating an experience of being overwhelmed by a world in which information can be both illuminating and oppressive.
I Wrote, You Read reflects on the contemporary human condition and on a world in which the weight of information can overwhelm our ability to see, question, and think.
